Scott A. Matison

Since 2009, I have focused solely on family law including divorce, custody, support, abuse, adoptions, prenuptial agreements and name changes. I practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and have experience handling cases with a variety of financial circumstances. Prior to forming my own law firm, I practiced family law for nationally recognized firms in the Philadelphia area and New Jersey. With offices in Philadelphia, Media and Cherry Hill, I am using that experience to continue helping my clients in the most cost-effective manner.

I currently serve as the President for the Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court. The organization is dedicated to advancing the field of matrimonial law and includes family law attorneys and judges in the Philadelphia area. The Doris Jonas Freed Inn is also actively engaged in community outreach initiatives, contributing to local charities and causes.

I previously served as the co-chair of the Equitable Distribution and Alimony Committee in the Montgomery County Bar Association. There, I drafted changes to local court rules and planned programs on new developments in equitable distribution and alimony matters.

I was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers each year between 2017-2022, a designation only 2.5 percent of attorneys receive in Pennsylvania. I am also a frequent author and presenter on family law topics for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Pennsylvania Bar Association and Pennsylvania Family Lawyer.
